This training provides guidance for practitioners around developing an enabling learning environment for all learners.

In this workshop you will learn easy to implement strategies that you can use either in the classroom or in your planning that will support children with SLCN.
This workshop includes strategies and guidance on the following areas:
-Targeted & universal in class strategies
-The importance of using meaningful activities in learning experiences.
-Using visuals to aid understanding
-The importance of modelling in all curriculum areas
-Supporting children’s learning with writing frames and task planners
-How using mixed ability groups can support learning
-Creating independency and learning how to identify and ask for help
-Support and scaffolding around questioning
-Strategies to support sentence construction, vocabulary and literacy learning
-Providing emotional support

Find out what children with SLCN find difficult in maths and strategies to help them to solve word problems and to learn relevant vocabulary.   

Understanding communication differences in Dyslexia 

Learn how phonological awareness skills develop, the importance of phonological awareness, how it enhances phonics learning as part of learning to read and strategies to support phonological awareness within the classroom.   

This session is an introduction to strategies used with EAL pupils and how to monitor progress with language acquisition.

Gain an understanding of the differences between bilingualism and SLCN and how you can support children within the classroom.   

This workshop will provide Secondary educators with a brief introduction to speech, language and communication needs in the Secondary age-range and 10 Top Tips for making the classroom inclusive and enabling for young people with speech, language and communication needs.
